Comment: I bought this DVD player mainly for a long plane ride to Hawaii (from South Carolina) for my 2 year old. The DVD player is great. It has a great picture, sound is just fine, and it even has a 'hold' button on it that prevents him from fast forwarding the movie. The battery power is wonderful as well. It usually lasts for a whole movie or longer. I've had it now for almost a year and it still works just as great as it did in the beginning, even after my son dropping it several times. Can't beat the value for the price! It also comes with a travel power cord for the car. Love it!

Comment: I bought this for my son for Christmas '09. It was perfect for him and still would be...if it still worked. It stopped working about mid July('10). It will not read dvds and is making an awful noise while power is on. I also just found out that it apparently only has a 90 day warranty. Disappointing.

Comment: I liked this originally for the tablet style. It works great for my almost 2 year old.
The sound quality is AMAZING nd because the speakers or on the fon tof the unit, you dont even really need them to wear headphones. You can't really hear the DVD playing while your in the front seat at all. And this is with the volume up loud (this does not mean she can't hear it perfect - because she can.)
I love the HOLD feature also - stops my daughter from messing up the play.
THE ONLY CON I CAN SEE:
I dont like that there is not a menu button on the front. To go to the menu you have to use the remote. I dont want my daughter to know that a remote even exists! He He... So that is a little annoying.

Comment: I used this product twice and on the third time, it would not play any discs. Coby does not pay to ship a replacement, so now I have to pay $20 in shipping to get a replacement. And it is a 4-6 week wait to get a replacement. A total waste of money.

Summary: A must for traveling with kids!
Comment: We got this for long car trips with our toddler, and it's been fantastic. I love the set up tablet style and the picture quality is great!
One thing I didn't like were the headphones that came with the unit were actually ear buds, not headphones. But we got a different pair for our son and it works great. Battery lasts longer than advertised, so far. Works fine even on bumpy back country roads, hasn't skipped at all!
Great product for the price! I'm so glad I didn't spend more on others I was looking at. This takes a licking and keeps on ticking!
