Summary: a great shoe box recorder
Comment: I have owned several of these Panasonic shoebox recorders. They are great. Sound is superior to high priced digital. Sound and reliability of recording are far superior to a very expensive Marantz. Ease of use is far superior to digital or high-priced Marantz. If you can forego the need for transcription,
that digital greatly simplifies, there is nothing to beat the Panasonic. It is, however, a little hard to find them, and the price has gone up to $50 lately.

Summary: a frequest user of casset player and recorders
Comment: When I first got this I was dissappointed that it did not have a head phone slot but found out later the monitor is it with no earphone symbol. I need this as I use it as a private player and record a good deal of reading material on casstte
. To date I really like the sound and ease of use and the vol. control is simple and works well. I use it daily and since I compare it to others I have had in that price range - - the others have given me about 3 months of good quality and then it goes down hill fast. - however this one has started out better than the rest and hopefully that is a good sign.
I would recommend this item to anyone.

Summary: NO FUSS--DEPENDABLE--JUST AS I REMEMBERED!!
Comment: No frills, easy to operate, and dependable --that sums it all up. The Panasonic name assures you of excellent quality. It performs beautifully for basic recording and I enjoy listening to my old music tapes that I carefully saved. It was packed very securely and arrived in pristine condition. If you are looking for hi-tech, then get a fancy CD recorder. This item is a quick, convenient way to record your ideas without any fuss or complicated manuals to read. I would recommend this to anybody that does not need a small pocket-sized gadget.

Summary: Shoebox best for shoes
Comment: My comments reflect judgements made on the copy I recived. A working model was not judged. The item recived had a loud audio whisle when in the playback mode. Efforts to contact the supplier proved to be fruitless so the item was returned.

Summary: Good tape Recorder For my Collection
Comment: I always love this recorder because the sound looks great. It has a speaker grille that is slotted, instead of one of the meshey holes that are found in
sterrio boom boxes.
One of my school teachers has that kind of recorder, and they had used it for both music and speech, as well as recording assignments for students.
I also have a Table Top recorder from APH, but much bigger. Comparing to Panasonic's recorders, It is about eleven inches front-back, while the Panasonic's Shoe Box Recordder is only ten inches front to back.
